1. White shaker cabinet - classic style, slight upkeep (white does get dirty!), makes smaller spaces feel bigger and brighter.
2-3. 9x3 Glass Tile in Pure Spa Blue - in a herringbone pattern (2.) curtesy of flooranddecor. I was considering these two (below) as a backsplash first, but Ryan and I couldn't come to an agreement. Aka, it was a hard no. I fell so hard for the arabesque tile on the right, but sadly, we had to say our goodbyes.
5. Crystal White Quartz Countertop - I was worried it was too much white, but I'm a risk taker. And I'm really trying to make the space bright and airy. Plus, white on white is such a classic look, I'm not stressing over it. Quartz is a manmade stone. Heat resistant and practically indestructible. By far, my favorite countertop material. Other than Carrera marble, but you can't use that in the kitchen unless you plan on replacing it every year. No, thank you.
6. Glass Knob - Considering all 3 options (glass, nickel, pulls). I think the glass knobs add a feminine touch and also doesn't contrast with the cabinets as much as the other two. I put all three options up there, but I'm still not sure. Inspiration pics:
8. Nickel Pull - classic and super "in" right now. I would go semi-long with these, but my worry is that they are generic. Also, I would want to do the more square shaped ones (second pic), which are extremely expensive. Inspiration Pics:
9. Grey/Brown Laminate - I'm a huge fan of laminate. You get the look of wood without the price. And its much warmer than tile. I'm not the biggest fan of tile - only in bathrooms - which, my next post will be a bathroom moodboard so stay tuned for that!
So there you have it! The finishes of our new kitchen and I'm beyond excited for the final product. Of course, I'll share it with you when its done, but that won't be for a few months. Happy decorating!
