First off, I just wanted to mention that this will be Ry and I's first Christmas together (married of course)! OH YEAH! I can't wait for the endless nights of cuddling, drinking hot chocolate, and wrapping goodies for our loved ones..oh and gigantic family parties. He's Filipino, so they apparently have LOTS of family when gathering. Anyways, like I mentioned, we are in between living in a condo and collecting new furniture for our house so there isn't much room for holiday goodies. This is where I had to get creative. I was scrolling through Pinterest of course and I came across this wall Christmas tree

I thought that this would be perfect since it's on the wall and hardly any space is required. Plus, I had the lights and scraps to make the decor. It looked simple enough, so I went out and got some ornaments and drew my tree on the wall with chalk.

Because the walls aren't painted as dark as the example, I had to improvise and use pink instead...mistake #1. When I measured, I thought that it was taller than it actually turned out: it was shorter and wider...mistake #2. Let's see where this goes
Anyways, when I grabbed the lights from my parents, and realized they were green and not white...mistake #3. I hung them with tape, bulbed them with ornaments, topped it off with an adorable star that does not match at all, and here is the finish product:

Ryan stepped back, looked at it, and said "hmmmmmmmm." That was words enough and it's coming down tonight. I call it one of my many DIY fails. But hey, now we are going to push the dining table aside and try to make room for a real tree. Whoo! The smell is better anyways.
