Magical Forest

Along with the last post, this one is another blast from the past. Yesterday, Ry and I visited the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village. Its basically a light show with a few rides and really good hot chocolate. This is a special place for me because last year in November, Ryan proposed :)

While I didn't get an actual picture of the proposal, I can remember everything about it. If you already know the story, go ahead and skip this next part.

We were volunteering at the Magical Forest (a light show for all ages that charities do every year), and we had to arrive there an hour early, giving us full access before everyone arrived. After we picked our vests, yes we picked matching ones on purpose, Ryan suggested that we walk around to see all of the lights before they let the public in. We walked past Cinderella's carriage and looked through all of the trees for goodies. They told us that sometimes sponsors hide prizes in the trees for people to find, so we were being greedy and trying to get first dibs. We were both looking at the same tree when Ryan points to a branch and says, "look at that!" I look around frantically because I thought he was going to grab the prize before I could see it, when I spot the most beautiful ring. He got down on one knee and I said yes! The whole night I could only focus on the shiny new ring that was now occupying the finger with the vein that leads to my heart.

God is truly at fault for writing our love story and I couldn't have asked for a better book.

I pasted that from our wedding site I've neglected to update. But that's what this blog is for. An entire life update.

So we are making it apparent to see the same spot where our love began. This year we only spent a few minutes at the village, but it was just as magical and beautiful as it had ever been. I'll never forget the day we agreed to be one. We tried to reenact it.
